About Kaso

Kaso is a grocery price comparison service for shoppers in Montreal. It collects weekly flyer prices from chains such as Maxi, IGA, Super C, Metro, Provigo and Adonis and lets you browse deals by store or by product category, so you can see where an item is cheapest this week. The site is available in English and French.

Every product gets a Value Score from 1 to 5, meant to separate genuinely cheap items from ones where a big discount sticker sits on an inflated regular price. A Smart List feature lets you paste a grocery list from notes, messages or a recipe and matches each line to the lowest-priced option across stores. You can also swipe through deals, add items to a basket and see which store is cheapest for the whole basket.

Kaso is a hosted web service with a free plan and a paid Premium plan. The free plan includes the Value Score, saved baskets and allergy filters, while Premium adds an ad-free experience, diet filters such as Keto, Vegan and Paleo, shopping reminders and a savings analytics dashboard.
