About Hillchart

Hillchart is a web app for teams that follow Shape Up. You set up a project with scopes for the cycle, organize them into epics with owners, and drag each scope along a hill: uphill while the approach is still uncertain and downhill once execution is underway.

Attention signals flag scopes that are at risk, waiting on a decision or in need of a circuit breaker. Snapshots freeze the hill at a point in time with a label and cycle summary, and a timeline replays how it evolved. View-only share links need no account, charts embed in Notion, Confluence or wikis through an iframe, webhooks push events to Slack or Zapier, and an MCP connection lets LLM tools ask what is stuck, create scopes or take snapshots.

A 14-day trial includes every Pro feature without a credit card, after which Pro costs 6 dollars a month. Workspace access pauses until you subscribe, but projects stay stored. It targets Shape Up teams, product teams, freelancers and agencies.
