About Forkest
Forkest reads your public GitHub contribution history and displays it as a garden. A day with commits plants a plot, heavier days grow larger plants and the scene shifts through spring, summer, autumn and winter, so busy stretches bloom and quiet ones dry out or snow over. You sign in with GitHub, and it reads only the public calendar, never your code and writes nothing to your account.
A single line pasted into a profile README shows the garden, refreshed every 4 hours. Commits earn XP, keep lanterns lit as streaks and raise a level, with achievements and signature plants earned by writing code. There is a public leaderboard, and a linked project appears next to your name there and in the widget footer. Pro adds a forest widget of the last 15 weeks, animals on your busiest days, a bench and a pond. The garden is free forever, and Pro starts at $4 a month with 14 days free.
