About Finamp
Finamp is an open-source music player for Jellyfin, the self-hosted media server. It is built with Flutter and Dart, and it is designed to play the music library stored on your own Jellyfin server rather than a commercial streaming service.
The project is community-driven. Its README invites help with design improvements, bug hunting, translations through a Weblate project, documentation and optimizations, and notes that battery use is one area for improvement. It relies on upstream libraries such as just_audio and background_downloader, and it has a Discord server and project boards tracking a redesign effort. Finamp is licensed under MPL-2.0.
