About Ekko Studio

Ekko Studio is a local-first AI workspace that brings several AI agents into one interface. It is available as a desktop app and as a self-hosted web console, and it supports agent runtimes including Claude Code, Codex, Grok, OpenCode, Pi, Hermes Agent, Ekko Agent and DeepSeek Harness (DSH). The project was previously named Hermes Studio and Hermes Web UI.

Conversations, group collaboration, voice, files and devices sit together in one place. The multi-agent runtime offers responses that stream in, traces of tool calls, previews of generated files, sessions that persist and detachable chat windows, and a studio workspace adds shared chats, group chat, workflows, media, themes, logs and usage views. Visual workflows can chain agent steps together and include a human approval checkpoint, and a Skills section lets you browse and enable installed skills. An agent manager handles installations, settings and updates.

The web console is installed from npm with the ekko-studio package and started with the ekko-studio-web command. The code is written in TypeScript with a Vue front end and was created in April 2026, so it is a young project; the repository lists its license as Other. It suits individuals and small teams who run several coding agents.
