dtSearch

dtSearch is a commercial text retrieval and full-text search product that has been available since the early 1990s. It indexes large collections of documents and files so users can run fast, flexible searches across them, including from desktop and network installations.

The product family includes dtSearch Desktop, Network, Web and Publish for distributing searchable content on portable media, plus dtSearch Engine, a set of SDKs for multiple platforms. The vendor lists document filters for many file types, support for SharePoint, SQL and NoSQL data, a terabyte indexer, a wide choice of search options, results ranked by relevance, faceted search with data classification, international language support and forensics features. It can also run on Azure and AWS. dtSearch is proprietary software that customers install and run themselves. Licenses are sold through the vendor and resellers, with developer evaluations and price lists available.
