About Diagrams

Diagrams is a Python library that allows users to draw cloud system architecture diagrams as code. It was created for prototyping new system architectures without the need for design tools, and can also be used to describe or visualize existing system architectures.

The library supports major cloud providers including AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Alibaba Cloud, and Oracle Cloud, as well as on-premises nodes, SaaS, and major programming frameworks and languages. It does not control actual cloud resources or generate infrastructure code; it is solely for drawing diagrams.

Key features

  • Draw cloud system architecture diagrams in Python code
  • Prototype new system architectures without design tools
  • Track architecture diagram changes in version control systems
  • Support for major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Alibaba Cloud, Oracle Cloud
  • Support for on-premises nodes, SaaS, and major programming frameworks and languages
