About Checkpoint64

Checkpoint64 protects game saves by uploading them to the cloud and keeping a full version history. A player points the app at a save folder, turns on auto-backup, and can later roll back a corrupted file or an unwanted progress state. The vendor says it works with more than 180 games, including Minecraft, Stardew Valley and Elden Ring.

With auto-backup on, the app checks the save folder every 60 seconds, waits until the game finishes writing and uploads only the changed files as a new version. For co-op play, one world can be handed between players, like swapping a cartridge, with a lock that stops anyone overwriting another's progress, and a group can also host a server on a member's PC without port forwarding. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and is also on Steam.
