About ChatGPT Web

ChatGpt Web is a self-hosted web application that gives developers a ready-made ChatGPT-style frontend and backend they can deploy commercially. It is aimed at developers or small businesses in the Chinese market who want to launch their own branded AI chat product rather than building the UI and account system from scratch.

It includes a back-office admin system for managing users, tokens, products and redemption codes, a responsive and carefully designed UI with a very fast first-screen load (under 100KB), support for Midjourney and DALL-E image generation alongside GPT-4 chat, a large built-in library of prompts in both Chinese and English, one-click export of chat history to Markdown, and support for custom API endpoints such as OpenAI or API2D-compatible proxies.

The project separates a frontend web client from a backend service, with the backend requiring a MySQL database for storing accounts and configuration. The README notes that local development is discouraged unless you can connect directly to OpenAI's servers, since proxying the OpenAI API locally is difficult. It is written in TypeScript and React and released under the MIT license, deployable via a static file upload or to Vercel.
