About BuildShip
BuildShip is a low-code visual backend builder powered by AI. It lets you create and ship APIs, scheduled jobs, backend tasks and workflows that connect to third-party APIs and AI models, including chatbots and WhatsApp bots, without managing infrastructure yourself.
The pitch is a visual, fully hosted way to build the backend that no-code app builders and frontend frameworks need: scalable APIs, secure workflows and automation. It offers database CRUD workflows for Firestore, Supabase, Postgres and other databases, and you start with no-code speed and can extend with code where needed.
This GitHub repository, the BuildShip Nodeverse, collects open-source cloneable templates, nodes and workflow examples and is also used for bug reports and feature requests. The maintainers say they plan to open source the backend so workflows can be exported and deployed to your own cloud, which is still work in progress. The repository is MIT licensed.
