About Balloonify
Balloonify is an offline desktop tool for quality engineers who prepare inspection documents from technical drawings. It reads the text layer of vector PDF exports from CAD systems such as CATIA, NX and AutoCAD, recognizes dimensional callouts and numbers them with balloons on the sheet.
It then writes an Excel characteristic list formatted as an AS9102 Form 3 Rev C and as PPAP Dimensional Results. Each row states in a Basis column where its limits came from, using ISO 2768 general tolerance classes and ISO 286 fit bands up to 120 mm, and rows outside its coverage are marked manual instead of guessed. Users can drag a rectangle to add a missed callout, exclude regions such as revision tables and title blocks, and use assisted OCR when Tesseract is installed. The drawing never leaves the machine.
Balloonify is proprietary software with an interface in English, Italian and German. The page description lists a one-time price of 699 euros, and the site invites visitors to ask for the build.
