About Alt Text Pro

Alt Text Pro generates draft alt text for images using AI, mainly for WordPress sites. After creating an account, you install its WordPress plugin and connect it, and the service describes images in your media library so that missing alt text can be filled in for accessibility and search optimization. Descriptions can be produced in more than 130 languages.

You can generate alt text for one image first and then process many images in bulk. The tool can use the content of the surrounding page as context for more relevant descriptions, and each suggestion stays an editable draft that you review before saving. Usage is metered in credits, with one credit used per successfully processed image. Alt Text Pro is a commercial, hosted service. New accounts receive 150 free credits with no credit card, followed by 15 more each month.
