waifu2x.online

Waifu2x Online is a web service for upscaling images with the waifu2x method, the approach also used in the waifu2x-caffe and waifu2x-ncnn-vulkan desktop tools. It runs in the browser, so there is no GUI to download for Windows or Mac. You drop in PNG, JPG or WebP files up to 5 MB, or paste a direct image link, and process them in batches. It is aimed at anime art, manga pages, sketches and photos.

Settings include the upscale factor (2x, 4x or 8x), an optional noise reduction step, face enhancement, and a style choice of anime, manga or photo. The manga mode is meant to keep speech bubbles and halftone patterns clean. The site also has a gallery, a face swap tool, a blog with comparison and how-to guides, and an FAQ.

Plans are credit-based. The free plan gives 20 credits on sign-up with 2x upscaling, anime mode, batches of up to 2 images and a queue wait, while paid plans add higher factors, noise reduction, photo mode and larger batches.
