About VisualHFT

VisualHFT is an open-source desktop application for analyzing market microstructure in real time. It brings live Level 2 order books and trades from supported venues into a single view so traders, quants and researchers can examine depth, liquidity, order flow and market resilience while conditions change. It is an analysis tool, not a trading recommendation service.

The repository includes connectors for Binance, Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Coinbase, Gemini, Kraken and KuCoin, plus a generic WebSocket connector, and built-in studies such as VPIN, limit order book imbalance, market resilience and order-to-trade ratio. Study outputs can trigger alerts to the interface or to configured REST endpoints. Templates and guides explain how to add new market connectors and custom studies.

VisualHFT is written in C# with WPF and the MVVM pattern, and it is licensed under Apache-2.0. Building it requires Windows, the .NET SDK, Visual Studio and a fork of OxyPlot placed alongside the repository. Documentation, a Discord community and discussions are available. It suits quantitative researchers and developers interested in high-frequency market data.
