About UIBUILDER

This entry covers UIBUILDER, an add-on for Node-RED that lives in the totallyinformation/node-red-contrib-uibuilder repository. It makes it easier to build custom web user interfaces connected to your flows. The interfaces can be single or multi-page, and several separate UIs can run from one Node-RED instance.

UIBUILDER supports no-code and low-code approaches, where the interface is defined from within Node-RED, as well as full-code front-end templates that you edit yourself and anything in between. Data moves between the browser and Node-RED dynamically, no front-end framework is required, and you can still use any framework you like or fit it into an existing web development workflow.

UIBUILDER is installed from the Node-RED Palette Manager and requires Node.js 18 or later and Node-RED 4. It includes example flows, a getting-started guide, a walkthrough for first-time users and an introduction video. It is released under the Apache-2.0 licence.
