SyncGP

SaaS

A desktop app that downloads all your Google Photos images and videos with metadata intact, and sorts a Google Takeout folder by date taken.

About SyncGP

SyncGP is a downloader for people who want their own copy of their Google Photos library. The Downloader fetches all images and videos in one click, keeps EXIF data and the original time each photo was taken, and picks up new photos whenever the user opens the app and clicks download again.

The Sorter handles a Google Takeout export, which does not preserve everything cleanly. It sets each file's modified date and time so photos sort chronologically and lets the user decide which fields from the accompanying JSON files, such as location and tagged people, are written back to the images. The Sorter does not need access to the Google account, and all processing happens on the user's computer. A free demo is offered and the unlimited version is a one-time $23 payment. The site states it is not affiliated with Google and is for private use with your own media.
