About SupoClip

SupoClip takes a long video such as a podcast, talk or stream recording and uses an AI model to pick the most clip-worthy moments from the transcript. It scores each clip for hook, engagement, value and shareability, then renders vertical 9:16 versions.

It can run as a hosted web app or be self-hosted with Docker Compose under the AGPL-3.0 licence. It suits creators and teams who want Opus Clip-style clipping without plan limits or platform watermarks, and who are comfortable supplying their own transcription and language-model keys when self-hosting.

Key features

  • AI clip selection from the transcript using Gemini, GPT, Claude or a local Ollama model
  • Virality scoring for hook, engagement, value and shareability
  • Face-aware vertical cropping to 9:16
  • Word-synced subtitles with caption templates and fonts
  • Built-in editor to trim, split and merge clips, with presets for TikTok, Reels and Shorts
  • Hosted app, Docker self-hosting, REST API and MCP server

Good fit for

  • Cutting podcast and interview episodes into short clips
  • Repurposing talks and stream recordings for social video
