About SubPorter
Stripe can copy customers and saved payment methods between accounts but not subscriptions, products, prices, billing meters or schedules, so a SaaS that changes hands or entities has to rebuild them without losing a renewal or charging a card twice. SubPorter turns that into a six-stage project with the source and destination owners each seeing the other's progress, or one person running both sides.
The stages are connect (a read-only key for the source, a write key for the destination), scan, decide, pay, move and schedule. During the scan all products, prices, meters, customers and live subscriptions on the source side are read without writing anything, and subscriptions that renew within 48 hours, have a coupon or lack a saved card are marked for the source owner to rule on. After the customers are copied and the products recreated, one subscription schedule per subscription starts on its renewal date, and only after all are verified are the source subscriptions set to cancel at period end. Planning is free; migrations cost $99 for up to 100 active subscriptions and $199 above that.
