About RazorSQL

RazorSQL is a commercial desktop application for querying, browsing and administering databases. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and Solaris, and connects to databases through JDBC or ODBC, which lets one tool cover a very wide range of engines from a single interface.

The supported list is broad and includes MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, SQLite, DB2, MongoDB, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Cassandra, DuckDB and many legacy systems. A database browser exposes schemas, tables, columns, keys, views, indexes, procedures and functions, while a built-in editor handles SQL and other languages.

Visual tools create, alter, describe and drop database objects, and query results appear in tabular views with filtering options. RazorSQL is installed locally and connects to databases you already run. It suits administrators who work with several database vendors and want one consistent client.

Key features

  • Connects to many databases via JDBC or ODBC
  • Database browser for schemas, tables and keys
  • SQL editor with auto table and column lookup
  • Visual tools to create and alter objects
  • Tabular query results with filtering
  • Runs on Windows, macOS and Linux

Good fit for

  • →Administering several database vendors from one client
  • →Querying legacy or niche databases
