About ProperPDF

ProperPDF is a mobile PDF app for Android and iOS that processes files locally on the phone, so documents are never uploaded to a server. It works offline and needs no account. The homepage contrasts this with browser-based PDF tools that send files to a server, which matters for tax forms, medical records, contracts or client files.

The tool list covers scanning paper pages with the camera, merging, splitting, compressing, reordering, rotating and deleting pages, signing, filling forms, locking and unlocking with passwords, converting images to PDF and PDF pages to PNG or JPEG, editing metadata, a built-in reader and a document library. An AI PDF chat feature answers questions and summarizes with AI that runs on the device, which may need a one-time model download. Some tools require a Pro plan.
