About Odoo Community Upgrade Tool

The Odoo Community Upgrade tool migrates an Odoo CE database to a newer version without server setup. You upload a backup as a .zip, .sql or .dump file, it detects the source version and works out the upgrade path, restores the database in an isolated container and runs schema changes, data transformations and module updates automatically, then gives you a backup to restore on your own server.

Direct upgrade paths cover 15 to 16, 16 to 17, 17 to 18 and 18 to 19, and chained paths cover jumps such as 15 to 19 through each intermediate version. The page lists the number of model changes handled for each direct step.

Test migrations are free and unlimited with neutralized output and no credit card, while a production migration with full, unmodified output and active emails and crons is priced at 99 euros as launch pricing.
