About Ninth Salon

Ninth Salon paints your photo in the manner of historical art. You upload a portrait, pick one of ten eras, which include Renaissance, Dutch Golden Age, Baroque, Impressionist, Art Nouveau, watercolor, pop art screenprint and cubist, and the portrait appears on screen in about a minute, with the face meant to stay faithful and recognizable.

The first result is shown with a watermark so you can judge it before paying, and you pay only to download the full-quality version. The site says your photo is used only to generate the portrait and then deleted, and that the portrait belongs to you.

Portraits can also be printed on artist canvas in sizes from 12 by 18 to 20 by 30 inches, delivered ready to hang within five to seven working days with shipping included, to Europe, the UK and North America. The first portrait is free.
