About Napster

Napster was long known as a music streaming service, and that is how it is still described in this directory's listing. Its current homepage, however, presents Napster as a platform for deploying AI agents that people can talk to, with voice, a video presence and persistent memory, rather than as a music library.

The product list includes the Napster App, Napster for Mac, Napster View, Napster Station, learning products for enterprise and higher education, an agent product and an API with documentation and hackathons for developers. The site describes specialist AI companions that help with tasks such as drafting, planning, interviews, prototypes and music writing, and says conversations can become shareable outputs.

Napster is a hosted commercial product, and the supplied information lists no pricing. Anyone expecting a catalog of licensed songs should check the vendor site, since the homepage content now centers on AI agents.
