About isDisposable

isDisposable helps developers keep throwaway email addresses out of their signup forms. It checks an address against a list of more than 160,000 known disposable domains and, for unknown ones, runs live DNS and MX analysis to catch temporary mail providers that are not on the list yet. The product is described as open source and built for developers.

Detection works in layers. The npm package @isdisposable/js checks the blocklist offline in about two milliseconds, with no API key and no network request. The hosted API adds DNS fingerprinting, such as self-referencing MX records and suspicious IP addresses, and returns a risk score from 0 to 100 along with a reason and domain age, so you can set your own threshold.

Every API check is logged to a dashboard that tracks block rates and the most common disposable domains. The free plan includes 100 checks per month with no credit card, and the site links documentation, a blog, pricing and a GitHub repository.
