About Expensa
Expensa is an iPhone app for budgets and expenses that avoids linking to a bank. After setting up one Shortcut, every card tap in Apple Wallet, including Apple Card and other cards added to Wallet, is logged as a transaction and categorized from your history with AI. The app uses no bank login, no account and no ads.
Budgets can have a limit per category with a live progress bar, alerts before overspending, and monthly, weekly or custom cycles with automatic rollover. An AI feature called Smart Allocation splits a total budget across categories based on region and spending habits. Separate wallets keep personal, household, business and trip budgets apart, and family or partners can be invited to shared spaces.
It supports more than 150 currencies with live exchange rates, storing both the original and converted amounts, which suits travelers and expats. Data syncs only through iCloud on your Apple ID, and the app works offline first. The site is the app's App Store page, listing it as free with in-app purchases for iPhone.
