About DynaSight
Dynasight is a proprietary cloud cost tool focused on Amazon DynamoDB. It examines table and index metadata along with capacity, usage, cost and performance metrics to identify inefficiencies, architectural mistakes and costly configuration choices before they inflate an AWS bill. It is aimed at engineering teams running DynamoDB in production.
Its security model is a main selling point. Users grant access through a least-privilege IAM role in their own AWS account that excludes item-level read calls such as GetItem, BatchGetItem, Query and Scan and has no write permissions, so the vendor says it can see waste but not customer data. The role can be revoked at any time. Findings are presented in a dashboard that prioritizes tables to fix.
Dynasight is a hosted commercial service with no self-hosted version. The site advertises a 14-day free trial and has guides, comparison and pricing pages. Although the directory tagline calls it a general cloud cost platform, the homepage focuses on DynamoDB.
