About Dusty

Dusty is a proprietary iPhone app, listed in the App Store as Clean Up: Storage & Photos, that helps people recover storage space. It scans the photo library and flags duplicate and similar photos, old screenshots and the largest videos, then lets the user decide what to delete. It is aimed at anyone whose phone is running out of room.

The app keeps the user in control: nothing is removed without a tap, and the top-quality shot in a group is never marked for deletion by default. Extra tools include compressing videos to save space without deleting them and a swipe-to-clean mode that asks whether to keep or remove a single photo each time. The developer states that all analysis happens on the device and that photos and videos are never uploaded.

Dusty is distributed through the Apple App Store as a free download with in-app purchases, and it is not self-hosted software. It is built for iPhone only and is published under the name of an individual developer rather than a larger company.
