About CmsWing

CmsWing is a web development framework and CMS built on Egg.js, an enterprise-grade Node.js framework, aimed at Chinese development teams who want to lower the cost of building and maintaining content and commerce sites across PC, mobile and WeChat official accounts. It extends Egg.js's routing, model and configuration layers at the application level while still following Egg.js's own conventions, so developers already familiar with Egg.js can pick it up quickly.

Its extensions let administrators configure routes, generate menus and permissions directly from the back office without manually editing configuration files, and adding a data model through the admin automatically generates the corresponding entity files, including fields and associations. GraphQL queries and mutations are automatically generated from these models for convenient API access, and the back office itself is built with amis, a low-code frontend framework that lets backend developers without deep frontend skills build complex admin pages from JSON configuration. It also integrates with mainstream object storage providers, including Qiniu, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud and Huawei Cloud.

Getting started involves cloning the repository, configuring a Sequelize database connection, and starting the project, which automatically generates the database schema and seed data; the admin panel defaults to localhost:7001/admin with a default admin account. CmsWing is written in Node.js with CSS/Bootstrap for its public-facing pages, and the repository metadata lists its license as Other, so check the license file for exact terms.
