About AppPlatform

AppPlatform is a project for developing large language model applications using declarative programming and low-code tools. It targets both software engineers and product managers, with the goal of covering the path from idea to deployment of AI applications. The README and descriptions are written in Chinese.

The backend is built on the FIT framework with a plugin architecture, with an application management module for creating, debugging, running and maintaining AI apps, and component nodes for orchestrating flows, which run on the Waterflow framework. The React front end provides a visual workflow editor, an app marketplace, smart forms rendered from JSON Schema and plugin management. Apps can be functions, RAG pipelines or agents, stored in a shared Store as reusable tools.

Operators in Java and Python are supported, and multiple models can be combined in one flow. It is licensed under MIT and starts with Docker Compose, with documented hardware needs of a few CPU cores and several gigabytes of memory. The README warns that the open-source deployment has no authentication for plugin uploads, so it should not be exposed to untrusted users or the public internet.
