About Animockup

Animockup is a web-based design tool for creating animated mockups to showcase a product, such as an app screen displayed inside an animated phone or tablet frame. It is aimed at marketers, indie developers and designers who want polished product teaser videos without using a full video-editing application.

Users add a video or image of the product, choose from more than 20 device mockups and frames, crop and reposition the footage within the mockup screen, customize the background with gradients, add text and images, and select start and end animations from several presets. Export settings cover video duration, animation easing, frame rate, output format and resolution, giving fairly granular control over the final rendered video.

Animockup is primarily offered as a hosted web tool, with the code also available for self-hosting, which requires setting up a Firebase project for authentication and either removing or reconfiguring Paddle, the subscription payment provider used by the hosted version. It uses jQuery, Fabric.js, FFMPEG and Anime.js among its libraries, is written in JavaScript, and is released under the MIT license.
