Brick Design is a low-code visual page editor built with React and TypeScript. It is aimed at frontend developers who want to let less technical users assemble web pages visually, supporting both flowing document layouts and freeform, absolutely positioned drag-and-drop composition in the same canvas.

It offers drag-and-drop editing with arbitrary nesting, real-time rendering as changes are made, visual alignment guides, automatic snapping, live spacing indicators between components, real-time drag reordering, and state-domain management. Visual configuration covers both component properties and styles, with support for multi-device preview, logic-driven rendering, template string variables, expressions and custom methods and states.

The project documentation notes a new version is under active development, and the README is written primarily in Chinese with keyboard shortcuts for zooming, undo and redo and canvas panning. It is written in TypeScript and React and released under the MIT license.

Key features

  • Flow and free drag-and-drop layouts
  • Real-time rendering with alignment guides
  • Automatic component snapping
  • Visual property and style configuration
  • Multi-device layout preview
  • Custom methods, states and expressions

Pricing: Free and open source under the MIT license.

Tango is a low-code builder created by NetEase Cloud Music's engineering teams that is driven by actual source code rather than a private DSL or protocol. It is aimed at frontend teams who want the speed of visual, drag-and-drop page building while keeping the output as ordinary, readable source code they can commit, review and extend by hand.

It parses and generates code based on the AST of the project, supporting real-time source-code-in, source-code-out editing, and ships a front-end low-code designer as a set of flexible React components that other teams can embed into their own tools. The project has been used in NetEase Cloud Music's production environment and has been applied to build an internal app builder, a dashboard app builder, a mobile app builder, a React Native app builder and an email builder.

Tango is written in TypeScript, requires Node 18 or newer and Yarn, and uses CodeSandbox's Sandpack project to provide in-browser code execution. It is released under the MIT license, with documentation and a playground application linked from the repository for trying it directly.

Key features

  • Source-code-based, DSL-free low-code editing
  • Real-time code generation from AST
  • Embeddable React designer components
  • Used in production at NetEase Cloud Music
  • Supports building dashboards, mobile and email apps

Pricing: Free and open source under the MIT license.

Noodl is a low-code platform for creating custom applications and experiences, built as a visual programming environment. It aims to speed up development and lets designers and developers produce apps with minimal coding knowledge.

The repository is the open-source continuation of the formerly closed-source product, with pre-built binaries on GitHub and guidance for migrating projects to a Git provider, moving the backend and database, and self-hosting the frontend. Documentation is available on a docs site and the main support channel is Discord. The editor is built with TypeScript, React and JavaScript.

Licensing is split: editor components are under GPLv3, while the runtime packages used by deployed applications (noodl-runtime, noodl-viewer-cloud and noodl-viewer-react) are under MIT. Source code of applications you create is MIT, so project-specific runtime changes need not be redistributed.

Key features

  • Visual programming environment
  • Full-stack web app building
  • React-based runtime
  • Visual workflows for app logic
  • Self-hostable frontend
  • Pre-built desktop releases

Pricing: Free and open source: editor under GPLv3, runtime packages under MIT.
